19th century Continental Marble Bust
Circa 1840, a marble bust of a gentleman with a strong, yet serene expression, the look of a philosopher, or scholar, draped in Roman style garb, according to the custom of the period. It is in excellent condition, the marble is not highly polished, but has texture.
